Emma Woods has been named to the 2022 Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) All-Star Showcase, scheduled to take place on January 29 in Toronto.

Woods, who grew up in Burford, is currently in her second season with the Toronto Six where she serves as an assistant captain. Thirty players, including Woods, were selected by PHF coaches and general managers to compete in the showcase. The league announced the player selections on Tuesday, January 4. This will be Woods’ first appearance in the All-Star Showcase.

Woods has tallied five points (three goals and two assists) in nine games this season. The Toronto Six currently sit in first place in the league, three points ahead of the second place Connecticut Whale.

The PHF is a women’s professional hockey league with six teams in North America. The league, established in 2015, was previously known as the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).
