Kelly Zdriluk of Brantford won $333,333.40 in the LOTTO MAX draw held on October 7, 2022.

Zdriluk picked up her winning ticket while she was on her way to the hospital for a very special event.

“I was on my way to give birth and needed to stop for gas,” she said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “After being at home with a newborn for a couple days, I checked my ticket on the OLG App; when I saw I won, my breath left my body!”

The 29-year-old called her partner right away.

“He thought I was playing a Tik Tok prank on him. When he realized it was true, we cried tears of joy. Sharing this moment together was the nicest part – at one point we just looked at each other and laughed.”

Zdriluk’s mom called her while she was in labour and during their conversation, she told her there were lots of MaxMillions winners and maybe she’ll win some money along with bringing home a baby.

“I called her and said, ‘Remember what you said to me while I was in labour?’”

Zdriluk said her experience has been surreal.

“I was on cloud nine. This comes at a wonderful time in my life. She plans to invest for the future and save to buy a house. “I might consider a new vehicle or a trip to celebrate,” she concluded.
