Brantford woman charged after disturbance

CrimeBrantford woman charged after disturbance

Brantford Police were dispatched to a location on East Avenue regarding a disturbance at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15.

It was reported that a woman allegedly threatened two other women with a hammer for an unknown reason. The victims did not receive any physical injuries.

Further investigation revealed that the accused was wanted by police for an unrelated warrant. 

The accused was placed into custody without incident. 

As a result of this investigation, Jennifer Lee JONES, a 51-year-old female from Brantford, stands charged with: 

•Two (2) counts of Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose contrary the Criminal Code 

The accused was held for bail.
