Brantford to host landlord engagement session

City of BrantfordBrantford to host landlord engagement session

The City of Brantford will be hosting a landlord engagement session on Wednesday, December 15.

The virtual session, Providing Homes: Landlord Engagement Session, is for landlords, or those planning to become a landlord, in Brantford and the County of Brant from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Housing staff will share how landlords can acquire vetted tenants who receive ongoing supports from partner organizations.

“The positive impact housing stability has on people’s lives cannot be understated,” said Victoria Boyle, Community Development Coordinator at the City of Brantford. “The intention of this session is to break down barriers and begin building relationships with local landlords and the housing department to create more housing opportunities in the community.”

Housing staff are presenting this information session with support from the Brantford Library, Brantford Regional Indigenous Support Centre (BRISC), Salvation Army, Housing Resource Centre, Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services and St. Leonard’s Community Services.

Landlords are invited to register to attend the session at Brantford.ca/ProvidingHomes/ where they will be entered to win a $50 gift card to Home Hardware. A short survey is also available online to help staff better understand factors that may impact tenancy and how the city can work with landlords to find successful tenancies for all community members.
