Brantford residents facing Break and Enter charges

Brant OPPBrantford residents facing Break and Enter charges

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence on Cockshutt Road in the County of Brant for a reported break and enter just after 10:00 p.m. on Monday July 1, 2024.

Officers attended the location and received information from the victim regarding a suspect on property attempting to steal the victim’s Recreational Vehicle. While at the scene, officers observed a male run out of the property into a forested area. Members of the Emergency Response Team along with the Canine Unit assisted in securing the area. Shortly after, OPP were able to locate and arrest two suspects, without issue.

As a result, Edward BECKHAM, a 28-year-old from Brantford has been charged with the following:

  • Break, Enter Place – Commit Indictable Offence
  • Mischief – Destroy or Damage Property
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order

Cheyanne FUREY, a 28-year-old from Brantford has been charged with the following:

  • Break, Enter Place – Commit Indictable Offence
  • Mischief – Destroy or Damage Property
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle

Edward BECKHAM has been held into custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on July 2, 2024. Cheyanne FUREY was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on August 15, 2024.
