Brantford resident wins $250,000

Tanya Turner of Brantford is $250,000 richer after winning with on an instant scratch ticket, Silver Stacks.

Turner, a 42-year-old mother of three, said this is her first big win.

“When I matched the number on my ticket and scratched the prize lot, I didn’t believe what I was seeing at first. I was excited, but shocked,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

Tanya said when she told her boyfriend and parents, they were so happy for her they cried.

“It’s one of the best feelings – knowing you and your kids will never go hungry. I can’t even explain how it feels. My emotions are going crazy,” she smiled.

Tanya plans to save her winnings.
