Brantford resident wins $150,000 on scratch ticket

Local NewsBrantford resident wins $150,000 on scratch ticket

Jodie McLean of Brantford is $150,000 richer after winning that amount on The Bigger Win scratch ticket.

McLean, a mother of six, has been a regular lottery player for more than a decade. While she enjoys playing a variety of games, her first big win comes from playing one of her favorites, THE BIGGER SPIN.

“I went to check my ticket after an appointment and the lottery terminal froze,” she shared, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her windfall. “The retailer said I won $150. I was shocked when I realized I had actually won $150,000! I couldn’t believe it!”

“The first person I told was my daughter. I was so nervous, I kept dialing the wrong number,” she laughed. “She couldn’t believe it either. I was screaming and crying! I was thinking, is this really happening to me? I was so happy!”

McLean plans to share her winnings with her children, to purchase a car and enjoy a well-deserved trip.

The winning ticket was purchased at Telly’s Variety on Colborne Street in Brantford.
