Brant OPPBrantford resident facing Stunt Driving charges

A Brantford resident is facing charges following a traffic stop on Highway 54 in Brant County.

A member of the Brant Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement on Highway 54. The officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at 139km/h in a posted 60km/h zone at approximately 4:12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

As a result of the traffic stop, a 25-year-old of Brantford had been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

·        Drive motor Vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed

·        Speeding 50+ km/h over posted speed limit

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on March 5, 2024, to answer to the charges.
