Brantford resident charged after single vehicle collision

Brantford resident has been charged with impaired driving and other criminal offences following a single vehicle collision.  

Officers with the Six Nations Police were advised of a single motor vehicle in the ditch on Second Line at approximately 3:03 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

The reporting person advised that there was a lone female occupant in the driver’s seat of the motor vehicle. When police located the vehicle, the female was still in the driver’s seat. Police spoke with the female, and she was assessed by  Emergency Medical Services at the scene. Signs of impairment were observed.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Melissa Curley (47-years-old) of Brantford, Ontario with the following criminal offences:

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus” 

– Dangerous Driving 

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on June 19, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.
