Brantford names Joelle Daniels Commissioner of Corporate Services

City of BrantfordBrantford names Joelle Daniels Commissioner of Corporate Services

The City of Brantford announced that Joelle Daniels has accepted the position of Commissioner of Corporate Services on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

Daniels will also continue on as City Treasurer, a role she has had since 2020.

The City’s Corporate Services commission is responsible for overseeing and managing several essential departments that are crucial for the smooth functioning and governance of the municipality, including finance, human resources, information technology, legal and clerks departments.

Kevin Davis, Mayor for the City of Brantford, was pleased to see Daniels accept this significant role.

“Joelle has made an outstanding contribution to the City in her career so far. Her appointment to this important leadership role is a testament to her expertise and dedicated service to our City. Myself and my fellow council members are confident Joelle will continue to have a very positive impact in her new position,” said Davis.

Joelle began her career with the City of Brantford in 1994. Since then Joelle has diligently worked her way through the ranks of the City’s Finance Department in various roles, including Director of Finance, City Treasurer and most recently in an Acting General Manager role.

Joelle holds designations as a Chartered Professional Accountant and an Executive Diploma in Municipal Management.

“I am honoured to take on this new role as the Commissioner of Corporate Services,” said Joelle Daniels, Commissioner of Corporate Services, City of Brantford. “I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and leadership team to contribute to the continued success and growth of our city.”
