Adam Conti of Brantford won $157,659 after playing Pools, a sports betting program offered by the OLG.

Conti says he is a regular sports player and loves football.

“I’ve been playing for almost 18 years,” said Conti, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

“I was watching the game in my basement, and I knew it was going to be a close call. I didn’t tell anyone until Thursday morning when I knew how much I won,” he said. “When I told my wife about the win, she just shook her head because she didn’t believe me!”

Adam plans to support children’s mental health with his winnings.

“I used winnings from last year to set up a foundation that supports children’s mental health. This win will allow me to contribute more to this foundation to ensure its on-going viability,” Conti said
