Brent Staats of Brantford won $100,000 after matching the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the LOTTO MAX draw on February 9, 2024.
Staats, 39, said he just started to play the lottery regularly this year and this is his first big win.
“I always add ENCORE to my ticket,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
The father of two received an email from OLG when he discovered he won big.
“I was so excited and happy to see I won. The first person I told was my wife and she was in disbelief; she couldn’t believe I won,” explained Staats.
Staat plans to purchase a trailer with his winnings to travel with his family.
“It’s surreal,” he concluded.
