Brantford man charged with Impaired Operation

CrimeBrantford man charged with Impaired Operation
On Saturday, November 13, 2021, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to the area of Brant Avenue and St. Paul Avenue in regards to a motor vehicle collision and possible impaired driver.
A concerned citizen called to advise they had witnessed a vehicle being driving in a dangerous and erratic manner, having hit a concrete barrier and several curbs near the train bridge on St. Paul Avenue. The citizen provided a detailed description of the vehicle and driver.
Officers located the vehicle and driver nearby. In speaking with the accused, officers observed signs of intoxication.
The accused was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and transported to provide samples of breath as required by law. Both samples provided were in excess of the legal limit.
As a result, a 29-year-old male from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
•Impaired Operation 
•80 Plus
•Fail to Remain 
Additionally, a licence suspension was issued, and the vehicle impounded as per law.
