Brantford doula fraudster pleads guilty again to similar crimes

Local NewsBrantford doula fraudster pleads guilty again to similar crimes

A Brantford woman sentenced to house arrest for faking pregnancies and fraudulently using the services of doulas has pleaded guilty again for similar crimes.

26-year-old Kaitlyn Braun was initially charged by Brantford Police in March, 2023, and pleaded guilty to 21 charges.

Less than six months after her initial sentencing, Hamilton Police arrested Braun last April.

She plead guilty to four new charges, after a volunteer agency supporting parents and another doula were contacted.

Braun is scheduled to appear in court in March.

Both the Crown and the defence have asked that she serve time while in custody.
