Brantford-Brant launch new recruitment campaign

City of BrantfordBrantford-Brant launch new recruitment campaign

The City of Brantford and County of Brant are launching a new recruitment campaign for Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) to live and work in Brantford-Brant.

The campaign includes a video that features interviews with Registered Early Childhood Educators from different Brantford-Brant child care centres discussing their careers and life in the area.

“I was born and raised in Brantford. It’s a wonderful city that offers an extensive trail network, the picturesque grand river, and it offers a lot of opportunities being a growing city,” said Jessica Renwick, Registered Early Childhood Educator at Le Ballon Rouge, a Francophone childcare centre in Brantford. “I chose to become a RECE primarily due to my love for children and the opportunity to be creative and active.”

Building Our Community from the Kids Up, Brantford’s 10 Year Child Care and Early Learning Plan, notes a need for growth in child care spaces to meet the needs of our ever growing community. We need to expand our workforce in order to provide the much-needed additional child care space in our area,” said Michelle Connor, Manager of Children’s Services, City of Brantford. “Brantford-Brant offers the perfect mix of small town charm with big city amenities that make it the ideal place to live, work, and play.”

The City of Brantford and County of Brant boast 4,000 licensed child care spaces, situated in centres, schools and homes. With more than 55 locations and 18 employers looking for full-time, part-time and casual staff, the area is rich with opportunity for those wanting to make an impact in children’s lives by supporting their growth, development and learning. If you or someone you know is interested in a career in Early Childhood Education in the City of Brantford or County of Brant, please visit Brantford.ca/RECE.
