Brantford Aquatic Club (BAC) announce that the Brantford Tourism Development Corporation has awarded funding through the Activate Brantford Grant to support the Jeff and Sandy Lee Invitational, taking place at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre from April 10 through April 12, 2026
The Brantford Aquatic Club is proud to host the Jeff and Sandy Lee Invitational, an event created to honour the lasting contributions Jeff and Sandy Lee have made to the development of competitive swimming in Brantford. Through decades of dedication to local sport and support of young athletes, the Lees have helped shape the swimming community and inspire generations of swimmers. The event celebrates their legacy while bringing together competitive swimmers, coaches, officials, and families from across Ontario and surrounding regions for a weekend of high-level racing and community celebration.
Support from the Brantford Tourism Development Corporation through the Activate Brantford Grant helps ensure the event can be successfully hosted while strengthening Brantford’s reputation as a destination for sport tourism. The competition is expected to attract hundreds of athletes and visitors to the city, generating economic activity for local hotels, restaurants, and businesses while showcasing the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre as a premier venue for competitive sports.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from the Brantford Tourism Development Corporation through the Activate Brantford Grant,” said Dawn Hall, General Manager of the Brantford Aquatic Club. “This support allows us to honour the legacy of Jeff and Sandy Lee while creating a meaningful competitive opportunity for swimmers and welcoming athletes and families to experience the Brantford community.”
