On Thursday, July 24, 2025, members of the Brant County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an individual in relation to an ongoing sexual assault investigation that occurred in January of 2025 in the County of Brant.
As a result of the investigation, Alveen AHMED, 28-years-old, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Sexual assault, section 271
- Assault, section 265
- Forcible confinement, section 279(2)
The accused was remanded into custody for a bail hearing and subsequently released. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on a later date.
