A 26-year-old from the City of Woodstock is facing charges after a Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) member initiated a traffic stop while on routine patrol in the County of Brant Tuesday morning.

An officer with the Brant County OPP was patrolling on Highway 53 near Harley Road in the County of Brant at approximately 10:33 p.m. on Friday October 27, 2023.

The officer observed driving behaviour that caused them concern and initiated a traffic stop. One person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged 26-year-old Tyler FELEDI, from Woodstock with the following offences:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),

·        Dangerous Operation,

·        Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor and

·        Driver fail to surrender licence.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
