One person is facing an impaired driving charge after a Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) member initiated a traffic stop early Saturday morning.

On Saturday, July 16, 2022, at approximately 3:51 a.m., an officer with the Brant County OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 24 South in the County of Brant for a Highway Traffic Act investigation.

One person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged 23-year-old Brandy Andrea ACTON, from Brant County with the following offence:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
