One person is facing impaired driving charges after Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members investigated a single-vehicle collision early Monday morning.
Officers with the Brant County OPP responded to a crash notification with air bags deployed on Burtch Road in the County of Brant at approximately 2:32 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023.
One person was arrested and transported to Haldimand County OPP detachment for testing.
Police have charged 21-year-old John Harrison William COWIESON, from the County of Brant with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs and
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
