Brant OPPBrant OPP charge Brantford resident with Impaired Driving

A Brantford resident is facing charges following a traffic stop on Highway 24 South in Brant County.

a member of the Brant Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Highway 24 South in Brant County at approximately 12:41 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Upon speaking to the driver of the vehicle, the officer administered a roadside Approved Screening Device (ASD) test. The driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

Tanyi BESONG, 37-years-old of Brantford, has been charged with the following:

  • Operation While Impaired and,
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
  • Class G1 License Holder – Drive at Unlawful Hour
  • Class G1 License Holder – Unaccompanied by a Qualified Driver
  • Driver Fail to Surrender License
  • Novice Driver – B.A.C. Above Zero

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on December 7, 2023.
