Brant OPPBrant County OPP recover stolen vehicle, arrest two

Two 29-year-old London area residents are facing charges after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County members responded to a reported stolen vehicle early Wednesday morning.

Brant County OPP responded to a report of a stolen vehicle traveling through the County of Brant on Wednesday March 22, 2023.

The vehicle was being tracked by Global Positioning System (GPS) and officers were provided with location updates. Officers located the vehicle on Cockshutt Road when it fled the area.

The vehicle was later reported by a passerby at Brant Road. Officers once again located the vehicle where one person was arrested. A second person was arrested when they were later located sleeping inside a nearby residence after the owner arrived home.

Dayshona Karen HILL, 29-years-of-age from London has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000,
  • Trespassing at Night and
  • Theft Under $5000- SHOPLIFTING.

Craig Herman James MARCHE, 29-years-of-age from London has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000,
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order,
  • Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence and
  • Theft Under $5000- SHOPLIFTING.

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford at a later date.

Police are continuing to investigate and anticipate further charges.
