Brant County OPP investigating robbery in Burford

Brant OPPBrant County OPP investigating robbery in Burford

Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a robbery at a business on Colborne Street West in Burford at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024,.

The investigation determined that an unknown individual entered the business at approximately 4:45 p.m. and demanded cash while brandishing an edged weapon. No injuries were reported.

The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and entered an older model tan or gold coloured Toyota four-door sedan. The vehicle was last seen fleeing the area on Oakhill Drive.

The suspect is described to be a white male, approximately 6’1″, wearing black sunglasses, black gloves, a black hoodie with a yellow reflective stripe on the shoulder area, dark pants and a black face covering.

Video surveillance is being reviewed in hopes to identify the person responsible.
