Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an attempted robbery at a financial institution in the Town of Paris and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect.

members of the Brant OPP were dispatched to a financial institution on Grand River St. North in the Town of Paris for the report of an attempted robbery at approximately 2:20 p.m. on June 6, 2025.

Investigation revealed an unknown individual entered the business and made a demand to an employee. The suspect then left the business on foot without obtaining anything.

The suspect is described as male, dark complexion, thin build, black wavy hair, black beard and mustache. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a black hoodie, black jogging pants and black running shoes.

Police are looking for public assistance in identifying the male. If anyone was in the area at the time and can provide direction of travel or any possible vehicle descriptors or any residences around William St, Broadway St West and West River St that might have video footage, police are asking them to contact the Brant OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
