Brant County OPP hold Commercial Motor Vehicle blitz

Brant OPPBrant County OPP hold Commercial Motor Vehicle blitz

Officers with the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) held a one-day Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) blitz in the County of Brant on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Members from the Halton Regional Police Service, Peel Regional Police, Hamilton Police Service, Brantford Police Service, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Finance, OPP Highways Safety Division, OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team, OPP Canine, Brant, Oxford, and Elgin OPP detachments, participated in the traffic initiative.

Over the course of the day, officers completed 48 Level 1 Inspections, resulting in 11 vehicles taken out of service. There were also 34 Provincial Offence Notices and 18 warnings issued.
