A young person is facing criminal charges after they were observed attempting to enter vehicles in Paris early Saturday morning.

members with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Brant County Detachment received a suspicious person report from an alert citizen at approximately 2:51 a.m. on Saturday December 3, 2022.

Two persons had been observed on home security and appeared to be attempting to enter vehicles in the Flagg Avenue area of Paris in the County of Brant.

Police attended the area and located two youths. One person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment.

A 17-year-old from Kitchener is charged with:

  • Trespassing at Night and
  • Possession of Break-in Instruments.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
