COVID-19Brant County Health Unit weekly COVID-19 update

Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) provided its weekly COVID-19 update on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Currently, there are 112 total active cases with 83 new cases being reported in the last seven days. Currently, there are six people hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since the pandemic began, BCHU has reported 11,410 total confirmed cases, 11,208 total resolved cases and 90 deaths.

Currently, there are four COVID-19 outbreaks declared at long-term care facilities, retirement homes and congregate living settings. Locations with COVID-19 outbreaks include: St. Joseph’s Lifecare with seven cases, AbleLiving in Paris with 13 cases, Tranquility Place Retirement Home in Brantford with 15 cases and Fox Ridge Care Community (A wing) in Brantford with five cases.

Brantford General Hospital has a COVID-19 outbreak on the B6 Unit with ten patients having COVID-19.
