Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) provided its daily COVID-19 update. All statistics are as of today, Tuesday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m.

Currently, there are 159 total active cases with 21 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours and six hospitalizations.

Since the pandemic began, BCHU has reported 4,629 total confirmed cases, 4,438 total resolved cases and 32 deaths.

In other COVID-19-related news, Grand Erie District School Board announced there were two elementary school cases in the district in the last 24 hours, including 1 positive case at Rainham Central and 1 positive cases at Seneca Central. GEDSB also announced there were two secondary school cases in the last 24 hours, including 1 positive case at North Park Collegiate and 1 positive case at Paris District High School.

The province of Ontario reported 3,453 new cases and 11 deaths on Tuesday, December 21.
