Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) provided its daily COVID-19 update. All statistics are as of today, Wednesday, January 5 at 11:00 a.m.
Currently, there are 910 total active cases with 58 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours and 18 people in hospital.
Since the pandemic began, BCHU has reported 6,087 total confirmed cases, 5,142 total resolved cases and 34 deaths.
The Province of Ontario reported 11,582 new cases on Wednesday. There are currently 2,081 people hospitalized with COVID-19, and, of those in hospital, 288 are in intensive care units (ICU).
