Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) provided its daily COVID-19 update. All statistics are as of today, Monday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m.
Currently, there are 486 total active cases with 230 new cases being reported in the last 72 hours and 34 people in hospital.
Since the pandemic began, BCHU has reported 7,128 total confirmed cases, 6,604 total resolved cases and 38 deaths.
The Province of Ontario reported 8,521 new cases on Monday. There are currently 3,887 people hospitalized with COVID-19, and, of those in hospital, 578 are in intensive care units (ICU).
