City of Brantford and the Brant Community Foundation are accepting applications for the City Grants Program until April 15, 2026.
Since its launch in 2001, the City Grants program has helped shape the vitality and sense of belonging that we enjoy in our community. Through this grant program, the City is committed to building capacity across the local non-profit sector by supporting projects that further the priorities of the Community Safety and Wellbeing Plan (2025-2029), which are:
- Access to Healthcare
- Food Security
- Substance Use and Mental Health
- Intimate Partner and Gender-Based Violence
- Climate Change
- Truth and Reconciliation
- Safe, Vibrant, and Inclusive Neighbourhoods
- Children and Youth
- Older Adults
- Housing Solutions
- Economic and Community Investment
Projects eligible for City Grants will address one or more of the above priorities by proposing new or expanded local health and social services, community engagement and belonging opportunities, initiatives to protect our natural environment, and recreation, arts, cultural and heritage projects.
Funded from the City’s revenue sharing agreement with Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for hosting Elements Casino Brantford and administered by the Brant Community Foundation, available grant streams include:
- Operational Stream: Up to $10,000 for operational costs of launching of new programs, ongoing operations of existing programs, or the expansion of existing programs.
- Capital/Start-Up Stream: Up to $15,000 for applications that launch new projects or expand existing projects.
- Event Stream: Up to $5,000 for applications that propose to host new or recurring community events.
Only complete applications with required supporting documents received before the deadline will be reviewed.
Eligibility information and full guidelines are available as of March 19, 2026 and can be found on the Foundation’s website at https://brantcommunityfoundation.ca/
