Robert Weiss of Brantford won $50,000 on an instant Bingo scratch ticket.
Weiss, 62, said he enjoys playing and this is his first big win.
“I checked my ticket while at the store and the screen said Big Winner. I had to double check it to confirm the prize amount was actually $50,000,” he said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
Weiss said he shared the news about his win with some coworkers, but they didn’t believe him.
He plans to buy a new car and pay off some bills.
The winning ticket was purchased at All In One Convenience on Market Street in Brantford.
