City of BrantfordBell Homestead announces summer events

The City of Brantford’s Bell Homestead National Historic Site announced their line-up of special events happening this summer on Thursday, June 16.

This summer’s special events include the Summer Music Series, such as A Time to Sing, Summer Serenade Concert and Symphony Under the Stars, as well as the Bell Summer Theatre Festival and great eats at The Homestead Café.

“The Homestead is pleased to return to regular programming this summer,” said Brian Wood, curator of Bell Homestead National Historic Site. “The Summer Music Series and Theatre Festival are always a community favourite.”

The free Summer Music Series includes special events such as the Summer Serenade Concert on Saturday, June 25 at 7 p.m. and Symphony Under the Stars on Thursday, August 25 at 7 p.m. Families can also enjoy the locally-written productions Beatrix Potter and the Secret Life of Peter Rabbit and Johnny Cash in Eagle Place in the Bell Summer Theatre Festival from July 8 to August 7. The Exchange Café and Phone Booth Museum Store will be open for all events to enjoy a variety of delicious home baked goods, ice-cream or beverage or to purchase a last-minute souvenir or gift.
