A 23-year-old man has been arrested following a weapons investigation in Brantford.

Officers were called to the area of Sheridan St. and Rawdon St. around 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Holy Cross and King George elementary schools were placed into a precautionary hold and secure while police were in the area.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m., a 23-year-old Brantford man was arrested near the intersection of Colborne St. and Stanley St.
