Brant OPPAncaster man facing charges after sleeping at intersection

A 60-year-old from Ancaster was arrested after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Brant County Detachment members responded to multiple calls for a person sleeping behind the wheel of a car at an intersection.

Brant County OPP responded to a report of an unresponsive person in a vehicle on McPherson School Road near Blue Lake Road in the County of Brant at approximately 9:59 p.m. on Friday August 5, 2022.

One person was arrested and transported to Brantford General Hospital. Police have charged 60-year-old Paul SZOSTAK, from Ancaster with the following offence:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
