Brant OPPBrant OPP charge Ohsweken resident with Impaired Driving and Speeding

A 27-year-old from Ohsweken is facing an impaired driving charge after Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members initiated a traffic stop for speeding in the County of Brant over the weekend.

On Saturday April 8, 2023, at approximately 2:23 a.m., an officer with the Brant County OPP was conducting speed enforcement on Cockshutt Road when they located a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. Police initiated a traffic stop where one person was arrested and transported to Norfolk County detachment for testing.

Police have charged 27-year-old Leslie SKYE, from Ohsweken with the following offences:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and

·        Speeding 1 – 49 Km/h over posted limit. 

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
