Local business makes donation to Cainsville Community Centre

County of BrantLocal business makes donation to Cainsville Community Centre

Brant Auto Painting made a donation to the Cainsville Community Centre on Friday, January 20, 2023.

The donation has brought the fundraising campaign to 94 per cent completion.

“On behalf of the Campaign team, I would like to thank Jeff Cornwell, owner of Brant Auto Painting, for the generous $35,000 donation,” said Mayor David Bailey. “We are so pleased to name the front entrance in honour of this donation. Jeff is another example of a great community builder.”

Brant Auto Painting is directly across the road from the new Cainsville Community Centre.

“I was raised in the Cainsville area. In fact, my family has been in the area since 1788. My shop, which has been in business since 1980, is across the road from the new Community Centre,” said Jeff Cornwell. “The old Community Centre needed a lot of repairs but it’s where we held my wedding reception and my son’s buck and doe. I went to many Halloween dances and attended Mason’s meetings at the old centre. It was crowded. We plan to use the new Community Centre for many future parties. The new Community Centre will be great for bringing the community closer together, especially after COVID. It’s important to give back to the community and have a place to gather, one that can hold a number of people comfortably.”

The Cainsville Community Centre fundraising goal is $1.5 million dollars and is costing $5.1 million dollars to build. Several naming opportunities are available for those looking to make a significant donation.
