Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) provided its COVID-19 update for Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
Currently, there are 147 total active cases with 22 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours and eight people in hospital.
Since the pandemic began, BCHU has reported 9,814 total confirmed cases, 9,600 total resolved cases and 67 deaths.
Meanwhile, the Province of Ontario reported 1,547 new cases on Tuesday, May 3. Currently, there are 1,699 people hospitalized with COVID-19, and, of those in hospital, 202 are in intensive care units (ICU).
