County of BrantOPP investigate stolen heritage sign from church in Brant County

A heritage sign has been taken from a church in Brant County.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Brant County said a large metal sign, valued at $3,000, and a metal post were stolen between April 4 and 8 from Salt Springs Church.

The message on the plaque discusses the establishment of the Grand River Mission in 1822.

OPP is continuing to investigate and is asking residents in the area with video surveillance to check their footage to see if they may have captured the suspects involved.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122.
