18-year-old charged after threatening gun violence

Crime18-year-old charged after threatening gun violence

On Monday, February 28, 2022, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a call was received from an employee at a school, located on Rawdon Street, to report a threat of gun violence.

Officers immediately responded and temporarily placed the school in a precautionary Hold and Secure while conducting the investigation.

All threats of violence are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly. The Brantford Police Service would like to thank the Grand Erie District School Board, parents and students at the school for their patience and cooperation as officers worked to conduct the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, Raymond James BARAGER, 18, of Brantford, stands charged with Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm or Death, contrary to the Criminal Code.
