Autism Dog Services (ADS) hosted its fourth annual Howl-O-Ween fundraiser at the Children’s Safety Village of Brant on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Over 300 people, including families and their pets attended the event, enjoying line-dancing, music, and a parade.

Vicky Spadoni, Executive Director of Autism Dog Services, said money raised at the event supports the organization’s puppy program.

“It goes towards our entire puppy program and everything that’s needed for that program, as well as to sustain the organization,” said Spadoni.

She said the organization does not charge clients for its service dogs.

“We need to raise a lot of money in order to be able to provide service dogs to our clients at no cost,” said Spadoni.

The organization itself bears the cost of the training for its puppy program.

“These dogs that we’re providing for our clients are valued at $30,000,” said Spadoni. “So any fundraising opportunities that come our way, we need all the support we can muster.”

Kent Cleland, along with his dogs, Bruno and Breezy, were all smiles during the Howl-O-Ween fundraiser on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Spadoni said the event also included a magic show, a DJ, a food truck and children’s entertainment. A costume parade for children and dogs was planned. This year’s event also included more local vendors who support Autism Dog Services.

“They’re very happy to be involved, and a lot of them are here for two and three years now,” said Spadoni. “So, they keep coming back and supporting our charity, and we continue to support their business.”
