Kevin Davis, current Mayor for the City of Brantford, was appointed as the Conservative candidate for the Brantford-Brant South federal by-election during a rally in Brantford on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Party leader Pierre Poilievre made the surprise announcement at the rally, saying the riding needs “someone who can fight for Brantford-Brant South the way Larry Brock has for the last five years.”
Brock announced in August he would be resigning as the local Member of Parliament (MP) to return to his job as assistant crown attorney in Brantford.
