City of Brantford received a first quarter payment totaling $1,179,535 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for hosting Elements Casino Brantford.
Since the gaming site opened in November 1999, Brantford has received $112,053,582.
These payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.
Since 1994, host communities have received more than $2.4 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.
OLG is proud to share proceeds of casino gaming with local communities, contributing to economic development including infrastructure and job creation. Payments to host communities are part of OLG’s commitment to Ontario, which includes reinvesting 100 per cent of OLG’s profits back into the province.
