Driver arrested after Impaired Driving investigation

Brant OPPDriver arrested after Impaired Driving investigation

A driver is facing Impaired Driving charges, following an investigation by Brant County OPP.

On the evening of April 7, 2026, at 10:00 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Cockshutt Road and Oxbow Road in the County of Brant. 

The traffic stop was in response to an original call of a break and enter, into a private residence, in the municipality. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 36-year-old, Jordan Meisel from Brantford, with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on May 22, 2026.
