A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Watts Pond Road in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed at approximately 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a transport truck was observed travelling at a speed of approximately 105 km/h in a posted 60 km/h speed zone.

As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old driver Jagdeep Singh Gill from Brantford, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed
  • Speeding – 1 – 49 Km/h over posted limit

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation. The driver is scheduled to appear in Brantford court on June 9, 2026.
