Jersey Mike’s Subs locations across Canada and their generous customers rallied to raise over $205,000 to help seven local hunger and children’s charities during the company’s 16th Annual “Month of Giving” in March.
The 21 Jersey Mike’s locations accepted donations throughout the month, building to the company’s Day of Giving on March 25, when each of the restaurants donated 100 percent of sales, not just profit, to the local charities.
The Jersey Mike’s locations in Canada, operated by Redberry Restaurants in Mississauga, raised the following:
· Make-A-Wish® Canada: $142,039—15 Jersey Mike’s locations including nine in Ontario (London, Kitchener, Markham, York Mills, Toronto’s Union Station, Pickering, Woodbridge and two in Mississauga), four in Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, Prince Albert and two in Regina), and two in Alberta (Lethbridge and Edmonton).
· Child Hunger Brantford: $8,313—Brantford, Ont., location

“Partnering with Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in Canada continues to be an incredible honour for us,” said Meaghan Stovel McKnight, Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish Canada. “This initiative is a powerful reminder of Jersey Mike’s unwavering commitment to making a positive impact and helping us work towards our goal of granting every eligible child’s wish, giving them the strength they need to face the devastation of childhood critical illness. We are deeply grateful for the generous support and thank everyone who contributed to making this campaign such a success!”
Last year, nine Canadian Jersey Mike’s locations, all in Ontario, raised $100,000 to help local charities including nearly $70,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada.
“Thank you to our customers, crew members and communities for making a difference and supporting these outstanding organizations during Jersey Mike’s 16th Annual Month of Giving,” said Ken Otto, CEO, Redberry. “With your help, we doubled last year’s donation. As we continue to grow across Canada, we are excited to be able make an even greater impact on our local communities through fundraisers like Month of Giving.
