18-year-old caught speeding on Highway 403

A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on the Hwy. 403 West in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed at approximately 11:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling at a speed of approximately 150 km/h in a posted 100 km/h speed zone.

As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old driver from Brantford, Ontario has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed

Speeding – 50 km/h over the posted speed of 60 km/h Zone

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.

Belle River resident facing Speeding and Stunt Driving charges

On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Pinehurst Road in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling at a speed of approximately 135 km/h in a posted 80 km/h speed zone.

As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old driver from Belle River, Ontario has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed
  • Speeding – 50 km/h over the posted speed of 60 km/h Zone
  • Pass – Roadway Not Clear – Approaching Traffic

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.
