Six Nations Police responded to a male asleep in the driver seat of a motor vehicle at a 5th Line residence on February 7, 2026.

Upon  arrival, police attempted to awake the male who proceeded to provide police with  a false name. Open alcohol could be observed within the vehicle. As police  attempted to remove the male from the vehicle, he proceeded to pull away and  flee in the motor vehicle at a high rate of speed. Upon doing so, an officer was  struck by the vehicle. The officer sustained minor injuries. The male was later  identified and known to have an outstanding warrant on file with Six Nations  Police. 

On February 9, 2026, Six Nations Police observed the wanted male from February 7, operating a different motor vehicle on Second Line. Police  attempted to stop the vehicle which failed to stop, again fleeing at a high rate of    speed. Police later observed the wanted male occupying the passenger seat of a  motor vehicle in which a traffic stop was conducted and the male was arrested  without incident. Police located bulk firearm ammunition in the immediate area  the male was seated along with non-prescribed Oxycodone. The male was later  remanded into police custody pending a formal bail hearing. 

On February 10, 2026, Six Nations Police Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a  Section 487 Criminal Code search warrant execution on a Second Line residence, located in Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. A search was conducted with  police locating the following: 

• Approximately 27.7 grams of Cocaine 

• Approximately 130 grams of Methamphetamine 

• Browning 7mm rifle 

• Firearm ammunition

• Canadian Currency 

• Digital scale 

• Drug packaging materials 

As a result of the investigation, Stefan Claveau (20 years old) of Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences: 

• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine 

• Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000 

• Firearm: Unauthorized Possession 

• Firearm: Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession 

• Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition: Careless Use X3 

• Dangerous Driving 

• Flight from Police X2 

• Impaired Operation 

• Assault with Weapon 

• Assault Peace Officer 

• Breach of Probation X3 

The accused was remanded in police custody and is scheduled to appear at the  Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on a later date.
