Six Nations Police (SNP) have charged a man and a woman after obtaining warrants to search a home and vehicle twice in Etobicoke.

After the initial search on December 15, officers said they seized fentanyl, currency, drug packaging and a cell phone. Kyrel Hamilton, 26, of Etobicoke faces multiple drug-related charges, including Possession with the Purpose of Trafficking – fentanyl. Hamilton was released that day.

On January 23, Six Nations Police Drug Enforcement Unit obtained another search warrant for the same residence and vehicle as part of an investigation called “Project Hop Out.”

After conducting the search, investigators seized over 36 grams of cocaine, over $5,500 in cash, a digital scale, a gold chain and cell phones.

Hamilton was accused of more drug-related offences and was held in custody until his formal bail hearing.

Chantelle Hurley, 25, of Etobicoke, also faces drug-related charges, including Possession with the Purpose of Trafficking cocaine. Police said she was released.

Officers said the investigation was in relation to illicit drugs being brought onto Six Nations of the Grand River and trafficked to community members.
