OPP charge Kitchener resident with Stunt Driving

A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Colborne Street West in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed at approximately 3:04 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2025.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling 113 km/h in a posted 70 km/h posted speed zone.

As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old driver from Kitchener has been charged with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed
  • Speeding – 113 km/h in a 70 km/h Zone

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.

Brantford resident facing Impaired-related charge after traffic stop

A driver is facing an Impaired-related charge after police stopped and investigated a vehicle.

On Sunday, January 18, 2026, at approximately 1:49 a.m., an officer with the Brant County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Fairfield Road east of Maple Avenue South in the County of Brant, regarding a possible impaired driver.

As a result of the investigation, police charged 30-year-old, Brett NOBLE of Brantford with the following offence of “Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand”. 

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford.

Brant OPP charge Brantford man with Impaired Operation

A driver is facing Impaired charges after police were called to a single motor vehicle collision.

Brant County OPP were called to Powerline Road between Oneida Drive and Kerek Road to investigate a single motor vehicle collision at approximately 4:12 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Police charged 41-year-old, Robert Paul BELL of Brantford with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80

The accused was released and given a date of February 5, 2026, to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford.
